88.00 (0.54%) Maruti Suzuki India has reported a 6.96% year-on-year increase in its total sales at 179,791 units in April 2025 as compare to 168,089 units in April 2024. Total domestic passenger vehicle sales grew marginally to 1,38,704 units in April 2025 compared to 1,37,952 units during the corresponding month of the preceding year.
Sales of Alto and S-Presso fell by 45.03% to 6,332 units in April 2025 compared to 11,519 units during the corresponding month of the preceding year. Sales of compact cars, including Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR, rose by 8.14% to 61,591 units in April 2025 from 56,953 vehicles in April 2024. Sales of mid-size car, Ciaz slumped 62.98% to 321 units in April 2025 compared to 867 units during the corresponding month of the preceding year. Sales of Utility vehicles, consisting of Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny and XL6, grew by 4.37% to 59,022 units in April 2025 over 56,553 units in the year-ago period.
Sales of van Eeco were declined by 5.16% at 11,438 units in April 2025 as against 12,060 units in April 2024, while that of light commercial vehicle Super Carry surged by 34.18% at 3,349 units as against 2,496 units earlier. The company’s exports in April 2025 rose 25.95% to 27,911 units as compared to 22,160 units in the same month last year.
