Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.

Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant has begun with the three-day block closure from August 29, 2013. The company has taken appropriate action time to time to match production with demand. This closure aimed to prevent unnecessary build up of inventory in the Company as well as at dealers end. Automaker had manufactured around 6,000 units of heavy commercial vehicles last month whereas the number was less in the current month.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company, is the leader in commercial vehicles in each segment, and among the top in passenger vehicles with winning products in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. It is also the world's fourth largest truck and bus manufacturer.
