REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development and Consultancy has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary namely ‘Ananthapuram II Power Transmission’ on June 26, 2025. The wholly owned subsidiary has been incorporated for transmission system for integration of Ananthapuram-II REZ-Phase-II (3GW).

REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric cooperatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
