Tata Motors' global arm JLR plans to install manufacturing facility in Brazil

Tata Motors’ subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Brazil. If this plan is executed, than this new facility will be the third JLR plant outside the UK. The company has yet to decide long-term benefits and opportunities before putting a plant in Brazil. Meanwhile, the company is also setting up its first manufacturing plant in Changshu, near Shanghai, in an equal stakes joint venture with Chinese car maker Chery. Currently, the company has started work on a plant in China and vehicles will start rolling off the assembly line in 2015.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company, is the leader in commercial vehicles in each segment, and among the top in passenger vehicles with winning products in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. It is also the world's fourth largest truck and bus manufacturer.
