Oil & Natural Gas Corporation has informed that the tenure of S. Balachandran, Shri S. S. Rajsekar and Santosh Nautiyal as independent directors of the company has ceased with effect from November 10, 2011 after expiry of the term of three years from the date of their joining of ONGC Board that is effective from november 11, 2008. in this connection, the company inform that Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India vide letter dated November 04, 2008 had appointed them as non-official part time directors of the company for a period of 3 years from the date of joining of board of ONGC. The proposal for appointment of independent directors, to fill up the aforesaid vacancy is under process with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India.
