NHPC has raised Rs 2000 crore on August 12, 2025 through the issuance of Unsecured, Redeemable, Non-Convertible, Non-Cumulative and Taxable 6.40% NHPC AG Series Bonds 2027 on Private placement basis. Date of Maturity is August 12, 2027. 

Tenor of the instrument is 2 years from the date of the deemed date of allotment. These bonds are proposed for listing at Wholesale Debt Market (WDM) segment of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE). 

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy work.
