NTPC’s 100% subsidiary, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has been awarded for successful implementation of Jawahar Lal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) Phase-I in Solar Power Developer Meet and awards 2013 held in New Delhi.  Various Solar Power Developers who were part of JNNSM Phase-I under NVVN implementation scheme were also awarded for early commissioning and operational performance on the occasion.

Around 550 MW solar capacity both solar PV and solar thermal has been commissioned so far and the power is being supplied to various States viz. Rajasthan, AP, Maharashtra, Odissa, UP, Karnataka, Punjab, West Bengal, Tamilnadu etc through inter state and intra state transmission system.
