-294.40 (-1.87%) Maruti Suzuki India, country’s largest car manufacturer, has reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) to imparting Driving Training to persons belonging to Minority Communities.
NMDFC has taken up the Skill Development Programme in 8 Minority Concentration Districts (MCDs) in Uttar Pradesh and 2 MCDs in Uttrakhand through reputed training agencies, wherein overall 6,300 candidates are being trained.
As per the MoU, the company will impart training in vehicle driving skill to the persons belonging to Minorities through its 6 Institutes of Driving Training and Research (IDTRs) and 284 Maruti Driving Schools spread across the country.
Maruti Suzuki’s production for the month of August has increased by 62.63% to 91,261 units as compared to 56,115 units in August 2012. Of the total, production in the mini compact segment comprising Alto, A Star and Wagon R surged 50.33% to 41,487 units as against 27,597 units in the same month previous year year.
