0.50 (0.13%) Coal India’s (CIL) production has declined 3.6% year-on-year to 329.14 million tonnes (MT) in the April-September 2025 period of the current financial year. Meanwhile, the company’s offtake decreased 2.1% to 356.16 MT in the April-September 2025 as compared to 363.66 MT in same period last year.
Further, the company has reported 3.9% decline in its coal production to 48.97 MT in September 2025 as compared to 50.94 MT in September 2024. The company’s offtake decreased 1.1% to 53.56 MT in September 2025 as compared to 54.16 MT in same month last year.
Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
