Axis Bank, with an aim to reach out to 15 lakh customers through the mobile banking application by the end of March 2014, has launched version 2.0 of its mobile banking application for its Indian customers. Tagit, a Singapore mobile solutions company, is the bank’s mobile app provider.

The new version segments mobile banking users into the youth, premium and prime segments. Each of the three sets of customers will get to use a customized version of the mobile banking application on their Android and iOS enabled smartphones.

Axis Bank is the third-largest private sector bank in India. As on June 30, 2013, it had a network of 2021 branches including extension counters and 11,488 automated teller machines (ATMs) across the country.
