NHPC to commence commercial operations at Unit 2 of Uri-II HE Project

NHPC’s unit 2 of Uri-II HE Project will be put on commercial operation with effect from October 11, 2013. Earlier, company had submitted the proposal seeking Navratna status to the government. The proposal is submitted to the Power Ministry, which had forwarded the same to the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), the nodal agency for public sector undertakings, comes under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
