-7.00 (-0.35%) Bharti Airtel has inked pact with Religare Technologies to provide a medical advisory service for its mobile phone subscribers. The company will initially offer the service in six of the country's 22 telecom areas.
The entity will charge the medical advice phone calls at Rs 15 a minute till January 02, 2012 and at Rs 30 a minute thereafter, apart from another Re 0.50 fees. Subscribers can call the service to talk to accredited doctors and nurses.
The company’s net profit for the quarter under review declined 37.75% at Rs 1307.50 crore as compared to Rs 2100.30 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. Its revenue has increased by 9.20% to Rs 10177.50 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 9319.80 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
