-65.30 (-0.69%) Bajaj Auto is reportedly expecting to sell over 40 lakh vehicles in the current fiscal year. The second-largest motorcycle manufacturer registered a 2% rise in total sales to 3,67,815 units in September 2013 against 360,152 units in September 12.
Recently, the company reported 13.03% rise in its net profit at Rs 837.16 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 740.67 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 3.11% at Rs 5299.05 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5139.12 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.
Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
