Uno Minda has secured its Board’s approval for an investment of up to Rs 6.50 crore by the company and its subsidiary -- Uno Minda Kyoraku (UMKL) in the equity shares of M/s. Hexa Sunshine, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) which engaged in the business of setting up, generating and distributing renewal energy from its power plants in India. The Board has approved an investment of Rs 5.25 crore by the company and Rs 1.25 crore by UMKL in equity shares of M/s. Hexa Sunshine through one or more tranches.
The investment is aimed at availing Open Access renewable Power (Solar & Wind) by the company as well as UMKL for their units situated in the state of Gujarat thereby increasing their share of power consumption through renewable energy. The transaction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026-27.
Uno Minda is engaged in the business of manufacturing of auto components including auto electrical parts and its accessories and caters to both domestic and international markets.
