NMDC commences mining operations at Tokisud North Coal Mine in Jharkhand

NMDC has commenced mining operations at its Tokisud North Coal Mine located in the Barkagaon Block, District Hazaribagh, Jharkhand on January 23, 2026. Annual production capacity of the Tokisud North Coal Mine is 2.30 MT of Thermal Coal. 

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
