Asian Paints reports 37% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Asian Paints has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company has reported 38.77% rise in its net profit after tax at Rs 310.60 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 223.82 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operation of the company has increased by 19.12% at Rs 2579.86 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2165.82 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

On consolidated basis, the company’s net profit after taxes and minority interest for the quarter under review grew 36.66% at Rs 326.84 crore against Rs 239.16 crore in the second quarter of previous fiscal. Group’s total income from operation surged by 19.04% at Rs 3160.03 crore for the quarter from Rs 2654.53 crore in the similar quarter of previous year.
