Bharti Airtel reports 29% fall in Q2 consolidated net profit

Bharti Airtel has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company has reported marginal fall of 0.40% in its net profit at Rs 1784.40 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 1791.60 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased by 3.77% at Rs 12782.40 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 12318.60 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

On the consolidated basis, the group has registered a fall of 29.01% in net at Rs 512.00 crore as compared to Rs 721.20 crore in the same quarter previous year. However, total income of the group rose 9.97% to Rs 21342.80 crore for quarter under review as against Rs 19408.50 crore in corresponding quarter previous year.
