Tenneco Clean Air India’s arm gets nod to set up new factory in Western India

Tenneco Clean Air India’s Material Subsidiary -- Tenneco Automotive India has received approval  for capacity expansion proposal by setting up a new factory in Western India. The expansion will add approximately 2.1 million units per annum of both Front Strut and Rear Shock Absorbers to the existing capacity. 

The new capacity will be added in a phased manner during FY 2026-27 and FY 2027-28. The total Investment of Rs 69 crore will be met entirely via internal accruals. The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on May 28, 2026, has inter alia, approved the same. 

Tenneco Clean Air India is part of the Tenneco Group, a U.S. headquartered key global Tier I automotive component supplier. The company is engaged in the manufacture and supply of automotive components, shock absorbers, struts, catalytic converters, mufflers and exhaust pipes.
