-5.10 (-1.13%) Coal India has reported fall of 11.6% in coal production to 56.1 million tonnes (MT) (Provisional) during May 2026 as compared to 63.5 MT (Provisional) in May 2025. It produced 112.2 MT (Provisional) of coal during April-May period of 2026, down 10.6% from 125.6 MT (Provisional) during the same period previous year.
In May 2026, coal offtake increased by 2.2% to 66.7 MT (Provisional) from 65.2 MT (Provisional) in May 2025. The total offtake of coal during the April-May period of 2026 increased to 130.9 MT (Provisional), up 0.9% from 129.8 MT (Provisional) in the corresponding period last fiscal.
