13.50 (0.09%) Maruti Suzuki India has reported an 34.77% rise in total sales (Domestic + Export) to 2,42,688 units in May 2026 as compared to sales of 1,80,077 units in May 2025. Total domestic vehicle sales grew 34.88% to 2,00,774 units in May 2026 as compared to 1,48,858 units in the same month last year. Within this, sales of mini-segment cars - Alto and S-Presso - jumped over two-fold to 16,275 units in May 2026, compared with 6,776 units in the same month last year. Sales of the company’s compact cars - including Baleno, Celerio,Ciaz, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR - grew 31.63% to 81,555 units in May 2026, from 61,960 units in May 2025.
Further, sales of utility vehicles - Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris, and XL6 - increased 44.39% to 79,267 units in May 2026, from 54,899 units a year ago. The Eeco van sales stood at 13,240 units in May 2026, compared with 12,327 units in May 2025, reflecting a growth of 7.41%. In addition, sales of the light commercial vehicle - Super Carry - rose 17.23% to 3,198 units in May 2026 from 2,728 units in the same month last year.
Moreover, the company’s exports in May 2026 stood at 41,914 units, compared with 31,219 units in May 2025, registering a growth of 34.26%. However, sales to other OEM fell 28.81% to 7,239 units in May 2026 as compared to 10,168 units May 2025.
