Tata Steel Ltd.

Tata Steel has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company has reported 15.38% rise in its net profit at Rs 1558.67 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 1350.81 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 9.12% at Rs 10246.70 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 9390.25 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

On the consolidated basis, the group has reported a net profit after taxes, minority Interest and share of proflt/(loss) of associates at Rs 916.77 crore as compared to a net loss of Rs 363.93 crore in the same quarter previous year. Total income of the group rose 7.32% to Rs 36848.25 crore for quarter under review as against Rs 34334.50 crore in corresponding quarter previous year.
