Rubicon Research has acquired manufacturing facility in East Brunswick, New Jersey, United States, from InvaTech Pharma Solutions, LLC (InvaTech) at an enterprise value of $2.9 million. As part of the transaction, Rubicon has taken over the facility including the lease and all equipment, records and permits associated with the site on July 21, 2026. This acquisition gives the company a US manufacturing footprint that is about the same size as its facility at Satara and does not include any product approvals or filings. This site will focus on the company’s specialty and high value products as well as demand from US government departments. It expects to commence manufacturing its products at the site in calendar year 2027 after completing implementation of its quality management systems.
The company’s wholly owned subsidiary -- AdvaGen Holdings (AdvaGen) emerged the successful bidder in a court-supervised competitive bid process under Section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. AdvaGen has also entered into a long-term lease on the site.
This operational facility manufactures oral solid and oral liquid formulations and has been USFDA inspected for over a decade with 3 successful inspections. The USFDA carried out an unannounced inspection of this facility in May 2026. The inspection resulted in a Form 483 issuance with 6 observations that were largely procedural in nature and unrelated to data integrity. Invatech has responded to the Form 483 within the prescribed time and has completed the corrective actions expected by the USFDA, based on which it expects the inspection to be successfully concluded in a timely manner.
