Maruti Suzuki India will inspect the steering column for 1492 vehicles, which includes Ertiga 306 units, Swift 592 units, Dzire 581 units, A-Star 13 units. These vehicles were manufactured between October 19, 2013 and October 26, 2013. If the steering column is found defective, the company will replace the steering column free of cost. This exercise is limited to vehicles within the above specified range and does not pertain to any other vehicle of the Company or any of its exports.

Customers may also contact the nearest Maruti Suzuki dealer workshop to ascertain if their vehicle is among the above vehicles.

The company has registered jump of 1.9% in its total car sales (Domestic + Export) for the month of October at 105087 units, as against 103108 units in October 2012. The company’s domestic sales also rose by 0.1% in October 2013 at 96062 units, as against 96002 units in corresponding month last year.
