ICICI Bank gains as its arm plans to sell its 67% stake in Medica Synergie

ICICI Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1062.05, up by 22.35 points or 2.15 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1039.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1044.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1071.55 and Rs. 1044.00 respectively. So far 240825 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1236.90 on 28-May-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 758.80 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1084.80 and Rs. 1011.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 122770.56 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 62.61 % and 8.23 % respectively.

ICICI Venture, a wholly owned subsidiary of ICICI Bank is reportedly planning to sell its 67% stake in Kolkata-based healthcare firm Medica Synergie to Quadria Capital for Rs 160 crore. ICICI Venture had invested about Rs 90 crore to acquire two-thirds in Medica Synergie in 2007-2008. The deal will help Quadria Capital to consolidate and grow hospital assets in a growing market like India.
