Wipro, a leading global information technology, consulting and outsourcing company has won National award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, 2013 under the category – Best Accessible Website (Private Sector) for its corporate website http://www.wipro.com.

The company has started the initiative to make its software and services accessible for persons with disabilities by focusing on internal services that are used most frequently by its employees. It has already made 100 plus Employee Services accessible for persons with disabilities. These services are maintained by Information Systems which is part of CIO office that develops and manages Wipro’s information infrastructure.
