Power Finance Corporation rises as its arm transfers WOS to successful bidder

Power Finance Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 148.75, up by 2.15 points or 1.47% from its previous closing of Rs. 146.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 147.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 149.00 and Rs. 146.25 respectively. So far 53910 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 227.00 on 08-Feb-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 97.40 on 02-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 169.90 and Rs. 146.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19536.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.71% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.70% and 5.59% respectively.

Power Finance Corporation’s - wholly owned subsidiary - PFC Consulting, has transferred its two wholly owned subsidiaries (WOS) to successful bidder selected through ‘Tariff based Competitive Bidding Guidelines for Transmission services’ issued by Ministry of Power, Government of India.

It has transferred Purulia & Kharagpur Transmission Company on December 09, 2013 to Sterlite Grid. Purulia & Kharagpur Transmission Company was incorporated for development of Transmission System for ‘Eastern Region System Strengthening scheme-VII’.

Beside, it has also transferred Darbhanga-Mouhari Transmission Company on December 10, 2013 to Essel Infraprojects. Darbhanga-Mouhari Transmission Company was incorporated for development of Transmission System for ‘Eastern Region System Strengthening scheme-VI’.

Power Finance Corporation provides large range of financial products and services like project term loan, lease financing, direct discounting of bills, short term loan, and consultancy services for various power projects in generation, transmission, distribution sector as well as for renovation and modernization of existing power projects.
