IT company, Mphasis has reported 24.67% fall in net profit at Rs 821.62 crore for the financial year ended on October 31, 2011. The company has posted Rs 1,090.75 crore net profit for financial year 2010. The revenue of the company grew marginally by 1.2% to Rs 5,097.96 crore for FY11 compared to Rs 5,036.52 crore it registered for FY10.

While profit of company from insurance and information technology, communication and entertainment segment witnessed marginal rise, its profit from banking and capital market segment, emerging industries and others declined significantly.

Mphasis’ board has proposed a final dividend of Rs 6.50 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the year ended October 31, 2011 (Rs 4 paid last year for the financial year ended October 31, 2010).

Mphasis is a provider of Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO), applications services outsourcing and business process outsourcing services.
