JSW Steel’s crude steel production in December, 2013 increased by 45% and stood at 1.05 million tonnes against 0.73 million tonnes in December, 2012. The production of rolled products (flat) increased by 42% to 0.87 million tonnes compared to 0.61 million tonnes in December, last year.

However, the production of rolled products (long) during the month declined by 1% and stood at 0.15 million tonnes as compared to December, 2012.

JSW Steel is part of the JSW group which, in turn, is a part of the O P Jindal group. JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
