M&M strengthens on unveiling concept electric sports car ‘Halo’

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is currently trading at Rs. 880.45, up by 4.70 points or 0.54% from its previous closing of Rs. 875.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 877.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 888.00 and Rs. 868.00 respectively. So far 29915 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1026.45 on 20-May-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 741.50 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 898.80 and Rs. 847.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 54235.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.24% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.77% and 16.95% respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has launched its concept electric sports car -- Halo -- which it expects to launch commercially in the next three years. Halo will be introduced in the country but it could very well hit overseas markets first.

Halo can touch a speed of 0-100 kmph in less than 8 seconds. It has a top speed of 160 kmph with a range of 200 km on full recharge.

Moreover, the company on the two-wheeler front, unveiled its 300 cc bike Mojo and the new disc brake variant of the Centuro motorcycle.
