Jyoti Structures’ African subsidiary - Jyoti Structures Africa has secured two contracts from the South African power utility, Eskom, for execution of 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines. Both the contracts combined together are valued at South African Rand 340 million (Rs 225 crore). The company had earlier executed a 765 kV transmission line project for the same customer.
Last year in December, Jyoti Structures’ board had approved setting up of a base for manufacturing of lattice steel towers in the United States of America (USA). Apart from this, the board had also accorded its consent for making investment of up to $12 million, from time to time, in one or more companies incorporated in the USA for setting up of a base there.
