-12.90 (-1.01%) ICICI Bank, India's largest private sector bank has reportedly unveiled a service to collect municipal tax on behalf of Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC). This service will help tax payers with accounts in any bank to pay municipal taxes at any of the 14 ICICI Bank branches in Nashik. On payment, they will immediately get receipts issued on behalf of NMC by ICICI Bank. In addition to ICICI Bank branches, tax payers can continue to pay municipal taxes at the Citizen Facilitation Centre (CFC)/Ward office of the NMC.
Earlier, the bank had launched a same type of service in West Bengal to collect state government taxes at all of its branches in the state as well as through its internet banking facility.
ICICI Bank has more than 3,595 branches and extension counters, and over 11,160 ATMs spread across the country. The Bank services its large customer base through a multi-channel delivery network of branches, ATMs, call center and internet banking.
