4.75 (1.23%) Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank has reportedly launched an all-women’s Probationary Officers course to increase the number of women in its workforce. The first batch of this new course will be start by the end of February 2014 in Bangalore. The women’s batch is not different from the regular batch.
In the last 3 years, the percentage of women in the private sector bank’s workforce has doubled to 18-20% from 9-10%. In future, the bank wants to increase the number of women in its workforce to 30%.
Kotak Mahindra Bank has reported 6.00% fall in its net profit at Rs 339.98 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2013 as compared to Rs 361.68 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has increased by 3.86% at Rs 2492.01 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2399.44 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.
