Bharti Airtel rings loud on getting rating upgrade for long-term corporate credit facility by S&P

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 296.40, up by 10.60 points or 3.71 % from its previous closing of Rs. 285.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 288.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 299.00 and Rs. 287.60 respectively. So far 240000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 373.50 on 01-Nov-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 266.95 on 05-Apr-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 292.15 and Rs. 282.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 118582.87 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.23 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.53 % and 10.24 % respectively.

Global rating agency, Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services has upgraded its long-term corporate credit rating on India-based telecommunication services provider Bharti Airtel to ‘BBB-’ from ‘BB+’. The outlook is stable.

At the same time, the rating agency has also raised the long-term issue rating on the $1.5 billion senior unsecured notes due 2023 and the euro 1 billion senior unsecured notes due 2018 that Bharti guarantees to ‘BBB-’ from ‘BB+’.
