Physical rubber prices close marginally lower

Physical rubber prices closed marginally lower on Monday after consolidating in previous session. The trade remained sluggish for yet another day with no definite trigger to take the prices in either direction, domestic and global futures too showed no strong movements.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 226/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 226.50/kg; while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 223.50/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 224/kg.

In the futures market, the contract of RSS-4 for June delivery closed at Rs 225.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 225.36, while the contract for July closed at Rs 230.30 compared to its previous closing of Rs 230.21on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
