NTPC, the largest power utility in the country has been awarded Best Value Creating Mahartana by leading Investor and Stock magazine Dalal Street. The award was received by Manash Sarkar, ED (CA & Corp Comm and ED to CMD), NTPC from TKA Nair, Advisor to the Prime Minister at function held in New Delhi. Recently, the company had commenced commercial operations in its three units from March 31, 2014 with the total capacity of 45 mega watts (MW).

NTPC is the largest power generating company in the country. It has also diversified into hydro power, coal mining, power equipment manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, power trading & distribution.
