Tata Steel gains as its Hot Metal production rises by 11.74% in FY14

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 401.65, up by 3.10 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 398.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 400.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 403.00 and Rs. 395.55 respectively. So far 312568 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 435.40 on 02-Jan-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 195.40 on 07-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 411.90 and Rs. 376.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 38911.74 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.35% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.45% and 24.22% respectively. Tata Steel has registered hot metal and crude steel production of 9.90 million tonnes, up by 11.74% y-o-y and 9.15 million tonnes, up by 12.55% y-o-y, respectively, for FY14. Saleable steel production was higher by 12.72% y-o-y at 8.95 million tonnes.
