Godrej Consumer Products reports 29% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

Godrej Consumer Products has reported results for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2014

The company has posted a rise of 11.16% in its net profit at Rs 167.03 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 as compared to Rs 150.26 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 11.56% at Rs 1059.57 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 949.72 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 29.28% fall in its net profit at Rs 236.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 as compared to Rs 334.14 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company went up by 11.75% at Rs 1950.91 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1745.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013.

For the year ended March 31, 2014, the company has posted a jump of 10.55% in its net profit at Rs 564.84 crore as compared to Rs 510.94 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company improved by 13.44% at Rs 4119.84 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 3631.67 crore for the period ended March 31, 2013.

For the year ended March 31, 2014, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 4.56% in its net profit at Rs 759.73 crore as compared to Rs 796.10 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of company has increased by 18.21% at Rs 7665.12 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 6484.08 crore for the period ended March 31, 2013.
