Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of being biased and partial. He alleged that there are reports of poll rigging in UP, Bihar and West Bengal, and said that in the previous three phases of the elections there were several reports of poll disturbances and booth capturing. There is a huge difference between this election and the previous elections and it is the first time that results are already announced before the polling.

Narendra Modi further said that the leaders of Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party and the Congress indulge in nepotism, and have only helped their relatives to get benefit. The Congress is finding it difficult to save Amethi, the bastion of Nehru-Gandhi family, he added.

Taking up the cause of tribals and farmers, Modi also said that he want to work for his tribal friends. Farmers are not given adequate price for their produce. Congress doesn't protect from the robbers but the BJP will protect them. BJP will have a system to determine Minimum Support Price for farmers.
