JSW Steel’s crude steel production jumps 14% during April 2014

JSW Steel’s crude steel production in April 2014 increased by 14% and stood at 9.90 lakh tonnes as compared to 8.67 lakh tonnes in April 2013. The production of rolled products (flat) increased by14% to 7.76 lakh tonnes compared to 6.80 lakh tonnes in April last year. Further, the production of rolled products (long) during the month rose by 28% at 1.64 lakh tonnes as compared to 1.28 lakh tonnes in April 2013.

JSW Steel is part of the JSW group which, in turn, is a part of the O P Jindal group. JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
