Idea Cellular, India's fifth-biggest mobile carrier expects capital expenditure of Rs 40 billion ($893 million) for the current financial year.
The company’s net profit after tax for the fourth quarter has declined by 2.50% at Rs 255.92 crore as compared to Rs 262.49 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. Its total income has increased by 28.32% at Rs 4201.40 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 3274.21 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company has registered a drop of 19.84% in its net profit after tax for the year under review at Rs 844.60 crore as compared to Rs 1053.66 crore for the last year. Its total income jumped by 28.65% at Rs 15389.00 crore for the year from Rs 11962.08 crore in previous year.
On consolidated basis, the group’s net profit after tax for the quarter has marginally increased by 2.97% at Rs 274.52 crore as compared to Rs 266.61 crore for the same quarter last year. Total income for the quarter was up by 24.56% at Rs 4234.72 crore as compared to Rs 3399.74 crore for the corresponding previous quarter.
