Paramount Communications bags orders worth Rs 207 crore

Paramount Communications has received orders from Government of India for its National Optical Fibre Project. The Company has received orders to the tune of Rs 207 crore towards this Project to be executed within 16 months. Confirmed orders for 50% of value have already been received and are under execution. The Government of India with an objective to connect 2.5 lakh villages across the country with Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) for offering broadband services came up with the National Optical Fibre Project being implemented by a newly created entity called Bharat Broadband Networks (BBNL). The total cost of the project is around Rs. 20,000 crore. The Rs 2,500 crore contract for supply of OFC has been divided into six parts, referred to as Package A to F, due to large size of the work.

Paramount Communications caters to a wide range of industries with an equally wide range of technologically advanced cables, cords and wires for Telecommunication, Railways, Space Research, Thermal & Nuclear Power Plants, Petrochemical, Fertilizers, Steel, Electronics and various other industries.
