Aurobindo Pharma gets nod to sell generic version of Augmentin

Aurobindo Pharma has received an approval from the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) to sell its generic version of GlaxoSmithKline’s Augmentin in the world’s largest drug market. The administrator has given nod to sell the drug in three strengths.

Augmentin is used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria, such as sinusitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and infections of the skin.

Recently, Aurobindo pharma major had secured final approval from the US Food & Drug Administration to manufacture and market Gabapentin Tablets USP 600mg and 800mg.

Aurobindo Pharma, headquartered at Hyderabad, India, manufactures generic pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients. The company’s manufacturing facilities are approved by several leading regulatory agencies like USFDA, UKMHRA, WHO, Health Canada, MCC South Africa, TGA Australia, ANVISA Brazil.
