Andhra Petrochemicals’ plant situated at Visakhapatnam has been shut-down from May 26, 2014 due to cheaper imports of the company’s products, Oxo Alcohols. The company has reported that this appears to be a passing phase and operations are expected to be resumed shortly.
Andhra Petrochemicals was established with a capacity to produce 30,000 MTPA of Oxo Alcohols at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The Plant has recently undergone an Optimization & Modernization Scheme to increase the capacity to 73,000 MTPA.
