Physical rubber prices ruled almost flat on Tuesday due to lack of fresh enquiries from the tyre sector. Further, a weak closing in the domestic futures market too influenced the commodity prices, but lower arrivals in the local trading houses capped some losses in rubber prices to some extent.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety marginally improved to Rs 151/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 150/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 146/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of June delivery declined to Rs 149.24 compared to its previous close of Rs 152.32, while July delivery closed at Rs 149.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 153.53 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
