National Aluminium Company declines on reporting 30% drop in Q4 net profit

National Aluminium Company is currently trading at Rs 50.35, down by 1.30 points or 2.52% from its previous closing of Rs 51.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 52.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs 52.65 and Rs 50.10 respectively. So far 672668 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 60.30 on 26-May-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs 24.10 on 06-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 60.30 and Rs 49.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 12989.28 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 81.06% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.02% and 4.92% respectively.

The company has posted a fall of 29.90% in its net profit at Rs 172.45 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 as compared to Rs 246.03 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.  Total income of the company has decreased by 0.63% at Rs 1973.59 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1986.24 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013.

For the year ended March 31, 2014, the company has posted a rise of 8.35% in its net profit at Rs 642.35 crore as compared to Rs 592.83 crore in the previous year. However, total income of the company has decreased by 1.19% at Rs 7338.56 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 7427.53 crore for the year ended March 31, 2013.
