MTNL has entered into a partnership with DigiVive, a mobile-value-added services provider to offer its customer broad range of services like mobile television and voice-interactive- response (IVR). The company will be offering ‘nexGTv’ a mobile TV service of live TV channels along with an exhaustive list of Video-On-Demand (VOD) content on mobile. This service is available for both 2G as well as 3G users with compatible handsets.

Currently, MTNL provides telecom services in Delhi and Mumbai. Over 50 live TV channels ranging from entertainment, reality, news, religious to popular regional channels will be provided by nexGTv, which will also provide first-of-its-kind VOD (Video on demand) content. The service would be available on a daily weekly and monthly subscription on pay per view basis.

This partnership is another effort by the telecom company to provide its customer a chance to view a whole range of Live TV channels and VOD. The content has been chosen to suit the need of every customer. However, the charges for the Video IVR Solution-- Vmotion--that combines voice and video, the subscription charges are fixed at Rs 30 per month, Rs 10 per week and Rs 3 per day with no video call charges.

Recently, MTNL had entered into an alliance with Bharat Berry Technologies to provide push email services for all its mobile subscribers in Delhi. It will provide existing users to stay connected to their e-mails, calendar and contacts through the servers hosted in India. In addition company was providing over-the-air (OTA) synchronization of calendar and contacts for multiple mail accounts.
