According to the data released by NSE, the Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net buyers of Rs 395.71 crore in futures and options segments on Monday, December 26, 2011.
FIIs were buyers of index futures to the tune of Rs 272.03 crore and they sold index options worth Rs 29.65 crore. In the stock segment, FII’s were net buyers of stock futures worth Rs 121.35 crore and they also bought stock options to the tune of Rs 31.98 crore.
Cumulative FII positions as percentage of total gross market position in the derivative segment as on December 26, 2011 is 32.51%.
