During the ongoing kharif season so far crop loans amounting over Rs 1,000 crore have been disbursed to farmers in state of Chhattisgarh. A total amount to the tune of Rs 1,088 crore has been disbursed at the rate of 0% which is around Rs 274 crore more than the amount of crop loans disbursed during the same period last year.
The Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Bank has set a target to disburse Rs 2,450 crore short-term crop loans through its primary agriculture cooperative committees to farmers this kharif season. More than four lakh farmers enrolled as members of committees will be benefitted of this.
Meanwhile, the state government is prepared with a stock of fertilizers for the kharif season. About 5.11 lakh metric tonne of fertilizers have been stocked in godowns of cooperative societies.
