Videocon Group’s telecom arm, Reliance Jio ink deal for tower sharing

Videocon Telecom, part of the diversified $4 billion Videocon Group, has entered into tower sharing agreement with Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries. Under this deal, Reliance Jio will get access to Videocon Telecom’s tower infrastructure in circles Videocon Telecom has operations in.

The deals will help both the entities to eliminate the duplication of infrastructure and redundancy, while reducing costs, and improving the quality of service.

Videocon Industries, established two decades ago, is a global conglomerate. Videocon’s businesses consist of manufacturing, marketing and distribution of consumer electronics products and oil & gas extraction.
