Physical rubber prices declined on Wednesday due to buyer resistance in the markets, though there was no visible selling from dealers or growers in the local trading houses as the arrivals remained low that capped losses in rubber prices to some extent.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to Rs 142.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 143/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 135/ kg compared to its previous close of Rs 136/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of July delivery improved to Rs 142.66 compared to its previous closing of Rs 141.98, while August delivery closed at Rs 142 compared to its previous close of Rs 142.06 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
